This particular event was a very special one. Toronto wedding photographer, Sandy Tam, approached us for the concept design and to execute the set up for this inspiring couple!

May and Patrick celebrate their 40th Anniversary and they wanted to a mini photo session to capture this wonderful milestone.
I am primarily a wedding planner, but love to get requests for the rare occasion and special events. So when Sandy approached us with this opportunity, it was an easy YES!
The photoshoot took place in their custom built home in Pickering. Patrick designed the home and they have lived there for 31 years. We knew it would be a great representation of them and their lifestyle. May and Patrick showed us the few items that they had kept from their wedding 40 years ago – her wedding gown (which to my surprise, was pink!), their wedding guestbook, the brooch she wore, their wedding bands and their framed wedding photo. She mentioned that their wedding was very simple, nothing like the weddings we see nowadays. At the time, he didn’t even propose with an engagement ring! We kept this photoshoot minimal and kept it simple to reflect their personalities and lifestyle.

These two were just simply adorable. After 40 years of marriage, you can still see the love they have for each other. Patrick is such a kid at heart and definitely knows how to make his wife smile. Their secret to a successful marriage? love, humour, and knowing how to keep things light!
